Don't be confused by the Barnes & Noble listing. This is NOT volume 3 of a series. This is a single volume, 3 tape basic Spanish course. The book is a guide but, the key is the taped lessons. They are entirely in Spanish but, the context of the dialogues and the guidebook make it very easy to learn. I have used the superb Pimsleur course to study another language. Pimsleur uses English in the lessons and includes no appreciable guidebook. Pimsleur is exellent but, this Berlitz course is a tremendous bargain at less than $30.00. Each lesson, in the Berlitz, is only about 7 minutes long and a lot of fun. I find that the pace is non intimidating which is important for someone like me who never was good at picking up languages. I recommend the course highly.
