A Demonica Story

As a Seminus demon, Raze’s life literally depends on having sex with females. The problem is that he doesn’t desire females, and it’s physically impossible for him to be with males. Thankfully, he and his best friend, Fayle, have an arrangement that keeps him alive . . . if lonely. He finds some solace in his work as a medic at Thirst, a vampire club known for its rough clientele. But his carefully structured world turns upside down when he meets a mysterious male who makes him want what he can never have.

Slake is an assassin used to getting what he wants, and what he wants is Raze. But he also wants to earn back the soul he sold when he was a much different demon. All he has to do is capture a runaway succubus named Fayle and hand her over to her family. What he doesn’t count on is being caught himself by a web of lies—and his attraction to Raze.

Raze and Slake must navigate a dangerous world to be together. But as Fayle’s jealousy of their relationship turns deadly, they find themselves embroiled in a battle not only for their love, but their lives and souls.

Just got this book from the library and holy hell, I am SO buying this book! Pros : + Very sexy writing + laugh-out-loud sarcastic humor (so good that I keep finding myself saying "I'm SO going to use that line!"). + intriguing plot. (I am usually very good at figuring out how a character will get out of a problematic situation but did not foresee this one!) + Includes a few beloved characters from earlier books in the series. Cons : - Too short (132 pages) for such a captivating book! - A few of the author's invented terms are not located in the glossary (but are able to be understood from the subtext). Note : * It is NOT necessary to have read all the prior books in this series to follow this book, but it would be beneficial to have read enough that you at least have a basic understanding of the characters and world that this series takes place in. * This book is a sexual book between two males, so if this is something that you cannot read than don't buy it.

(3.5 stars) This is the first M/M story I’ve read by Larissa Ione.  I was curious how she was going to pull it off with one of her lead characters being a Seminus Demon, a species only able to have sex with females.  The story progressed how I thought, and I wasn’t surprised, it is very in the “now;” if you don’t live under a rock, you will understand what I mean.  The narration of the story was not my favorite.  I’m not sure what was throwing things off for me; but I just had a hard time getting into it.  I think had I read the story, I would have enjoyed it more.  Overall, the story is pretty steamy and a great addition to the Demonica world....Sara

aze is a Seminus demon, Raze has to have sex with females or he does a painful death. The only problem...he's gay. For thirty years he has lived with a succubus to help with his needs. Only a female can help when it's time for sex. Slake is an assassin and he has a week to capture and return Fayle, the Succubus. If not then his employer takes his soul. When they meet, the attraction is instantaneous. But they have some hurdles to overcome. Like breaking the bond that Fayle put on Raze. And keeping Slake's soul. Very entertaining. Be aware there is gay sex. Keep you turning the pages until the very end. *RECEIVED A COPY FROM NETGALLEY*

LOVED it! Reminds me of the Black Dagger Brotherhood long awaited Lover At Last (including the cover). I actually skipped over the Horsemen part of the series and went straight to this after reading Sin's story and wanting more of UGH. I was not lost and it was find as a stand alone or if you want to skip the Horsemen/Angel stuff. So excited that she did a man/man relationship that was well done and a fantastic read. Even if you are hesitant to read this one, get over it and read it, you will be glad you did!
