While it might be a little early in their career for a live album, this CD/DVD set proves that Evanescence -- particularly singer Amy Lee -- are more than capable of delivering the goods in concert. Recorded live in Paris, Anywhere but Home reprises most of the band's multi-platinum album Fallen, but few of the selections are close-to-the-vest re-creations of the studio versions. Both "My Immortal" and "Bring Me to Life" are rendered in more anthemic form, thanks in large part to the swirling, energized grooves laid down by the rhythm section. "Breathe No More," on the other hand, emphasizes the haunting intensity of Lee's voice, a powerful instrument indeed. The disc does offer up a pair of previously unreleased songs that illustrate the dual personality within Evanescence: On "Missing," the band's Goth roots shine through in all their dark and stormy glory; a cover of Korn's "Thoughtless," on the other hand, nods to their ability to crank out capital-R rawk. The set's DVD contains all the concert footage, shot in a non-slick manner (all the better to capitalize on the show's energy), and an hour's worth of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

This work is amazing. Amy Lee is a very talented singer. Her songs emanate style and grace. Her work seems to touch so many people that I know. 5 Stars all the way.

This is a great CD, another Evanescence special! I highly recomend it - it features a full live concert in video and audio, plus over an hour of behind-the-scenes exclusives, music videos and more. Plus new songs and some old favorites...! :)

A live performance on the cd, although looked down upon by some critics, is exactly what fans want. A.B.H. is absolutely mesmerizing. And the DVD includes their music videos, a lot of bonus material, including a gag reel, and the concert live. The CD has Missing as the last track, recorded in the studio. BUY THIS, And you will not regret it!!

I went to see Evanescence live in concert a few months ago, and I must say that I have yet to see a band more unique and distinct. This new exclusive edition will bind together all the major themes of Evanescence both live in concert and behind the cameras away from the spot light. It is clear to me that Evanescence blends together both emotion and wicked gothic metal, producing a sound that is worthy of praise. I can't deny the intense elements that captures teen lust, and life's ups and downs. Rock on Evaenescence.

"Breathe No More," "Thoughtless" and "Missing" are not found on any other Evanescence CD but this one. "Missing" is one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life, and the only one on this CD that was recorded in the studio. Click on ALL TRACKS to see it. I also liked that the concert was filmed, not video taped. The picture is very clear. I had to take one star away because the sound quality could have been better if they recorded it indoors. The sound quality is good with all the modern day recording equipment. That's what really helped it. I just hope their next live recorded performance is done indoors.

This CD is stunningly well-recorded. Although the background noise of the screaming fans can get annoying, the songs that aren't on Fallen "Thoughtlss, Breathe No More, Farther Away, and of course Missing" are well worth the distraction. Missing is made cooler because it's a studio version. I'm constantly looking for studio versions of the other songs "I was hoping they would be on The Open Door" The DVD that came with Anywhere But Home featured some awesome footage, showing the band outside their somewhat depressing lyrics. The music video for Everybody's Fool moved me though... Amy Lee's voice always does. She may not sing like Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin, or Patsy Cline, but she has such a powerful voice that basically blows away the instrumentals on this CD/DVD. Don't get me wrong, the instrumentals are awesome "ALL OF THEM!! Piano, orchestra, guitar, bass, drums, all of it" but it's my belief that Amy Lee could be walking in the middle of Time Square wih a microphone and put on a concert by herself right there. No matter how you look at it, I'm sure Evanescence has aong run ahead of them, with many albums to come.

This is one of my favorite CD's and I'm not much on live albums. They added a Bonus song "Missing" at the end and it is wonderful.

I own Fallen, and it was one of the few CD's I own where I love every song on the album. A.B.H allowed me to hear them live (which is something I'd yet to do) and I was not dissapointed. I liked the added bonus material, DVD and extra songs were just fantastic. I cannot wait until their next album comes out in 2005. You will not regret buying this CD.

i used to listen to this everyday before my parents took it away. anywhere but home is awesome!! if you buy it, find somewhere safe to hide it!!!! if you don't, you'll end up losing it like i did. now all i have left is the 30 second previews on the internet!! my friend is trying to make me a copy.Evanescence had never recorded a bad song. unfortunately my parents think differently!

I just purchased A.B.H., and immediatly took it home to watch/listen to. I loved the concert, the fottage and effects were great! I also thought the behind the scenes fottage was hysterical, and truly suprising to see, considering the darkness that is Evanescence. The videos, of course, were great, especially Everybody's Fool.. plus, the song Missing is a great mellow track. Plus, the Korn "Thoughtless" cover is great! Buy this when you get the chance.. you won't regret it. Also, this is a great thing to hold fans over until the sophmore album release (scheduled for release in 2005)!

This CD/DVD is absolutely amazing. The live music content provides new, great versions of our beloved "Fallen" songs and the DVD has great candid content of the band (and some awesome easter eggs in the main menu.) I highly recommend this.

Once again, Evanescence delivers an astonishing performance. Their unique sound is addicting and makes you want to listen to them all day. This amazing DVD/CD is almost all live, and I recommend it to anybody who wants to hear REAL music, not that lip-sync stuff most musicians do these days.
