A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
A moving and insightful collection of quotes, memories, and images celebrating the life of Anthony Bourdain When Anthony Bourdain died in June 2018, the outpouring of love from his fans around the world was momentous. The tributes spoke to his legacy: That the world is much smaller than we imagine and people are more alike than they are different. As Bourdain once said, “If I’m an advocate of anything, it’s to move…Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food.”
Anthony Bourdain Remembered brings together memories and anecdotes from fans reminiscing about Bourdain’s unique achievements and his enduring effect on their lives as well as comments from chefs, journalists, filmmakers, musicians, and writers inspired by Bourdain including Barack Obama, Eric Ripert, Jill Filipovic, Ken Burns, Questlove, and José Andrés, among many others.
These remembrances give us a glimpse of Bourdain's widespread impact through his political and social commitments; his dedication to travel and eating well (and widely); and his love of the written word, along with his deep compassion, open-mindedness, and interest in lives different from his own.
Anthony Bourdain Remembered captures Bourdain's inimitable spirit and passion in the words of his devoted fans as well as some of his closest friends and colleagues.

I miss Anthony Bourdain ! Yes, that is right . I , do miss Anthony Bourdain. I never met him personally or even saw him in RL from afar but I knew him. He came to my house, to my living room every week and showed me the world . People, culture , food and places that open my eyes and heart. Anthony was a communicator , provocateur and humanist . His empathy and curious nature let him experience and see the world as few do ; and in those places he met and touch lot of people hearts. And when he died , we all felt it . We lost a friend and through social media , people all over the world shared the impact he had in their lives. And we all saw, how far and wide the Anthony effect went. This book is poignant and thoughtful collection of quotes, vignettes , memories and pictures commemorating and remembering the life of Anthony Bourdain. I . Love . this. Book. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest review.
I'm a casual fan of Anthony Bourdain- I didn't watch Parts Unknown on a regular basis, but I always enjoyed it when I did. After reading this book, I wish I'd watched every episode. Seeing this man through the eyes of the people whose lives he touched makes me wish I had known him. This is a lovely, moving tribute to a good man, and I'm glad that his estate decided to make it available publicly, as it was originally something CNN put together for his daughter. #AnthonyBourdainRemembered #NetGalley
I am very familiar with Anthony Bourdain and all that he has done with the food industry and the legacy he has created with his travel show and the cultures he has embraced. I also loved all of the celebrity chefs such as Richard Blais and Jose Andres give their thoughts and moments of Tony and the legacy he left behind. We will always remember the exotic food he shared through No Reservations and his experience traveling all over the world and the culinary knowledge the shared with the entire world. We will definitely consider adding this title to our Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
