About the Author

Blake Karrington came from humbling beginning, raised in a single parent home in one of the roughest projects, Piedmont Courts, in Charlotte North Carolina. Blake was the only male child born to Viola Nash, he has two other older female siblings.
Blake made the successful transition from drug dealer to working man, then from an employee to a book store owner.

After many years of being on the retail side of the book industry, after a meeting and talking with author Shannon Holmes, James decided to become a publisher. With the first novel that he published, 'Little Ghetto Girl', Blake achieved unprecedented success. The novel caught the eye of publishing giant Simon & Schuster, which later bought the rights to the novel. After that he published other titles as well with limited success.
Blake witnessed firsthand the trial and tribulations of the publishing industry. Dissatisfied with the many authors lackadaisical attitude, Blake decided to try his hand at writing a novel. He figured he was just as qualified as another author in the urban genre, to write a novel. After all he lived the street life.

Once again, he sought out longtime friend and confidant, renowned urban writer Shannon Holmes, for advice. Under his tutelage Blake began to secretly craft his own novel. After nine months of hard work, Blake has finally achieved what he set out to do, craft a first-rate novel. Intending to set the world on it's ear, Blake is planning on show the world just how far, one can go with a hustler mentality.

The cards are stacked against Shantell Bryant. Living in the dangerous Piedmont Courts with a mother addicted to drugs, Shantell was forced to navigate herself from childhood to womanhood. Somewhere along the way, she became a single mother. Determined to make a better life for herself and her daughter and without an education, she relies on her most valuable asset...her body. Will it be enough?

All or Nothing is a mediocre read. There's nothing here that we haven't read before. Girl lives in the hood. Girl gets pregnant. Girl starts stripping as a way out. Like I said, nothing new, but I was hoping that this author would do something differently to make his story stand out from the rest. Unfortunately he did not. The time-line was confusing, the ending anti-climactic, and this book is in need of a good editor. All or Nothing makes for a quick, minimally entertaining read.

In his debut novel author blake karrington makes his presence felt in the literary world. Although this subject matter isn't new, blake weighs in with his on version of the strip game. He gives it to the reader just how he got it, raw & uncut. Blake spins a cautionary tale of sex, money and murder in the south. He truly capture the essence of the meat grinder industry known as the strip game. Mr. Karrington keep doing ur thang. Can't wait until follow up novel 'now or never' drops!!!!!
