Overview

Before the dozens of night stalkers slain by Buffy, there was the first and the best: Dracula. And now everyone's favorite bloodsucker is back, and captured in a thrillingly told, spine-tingling graphic novel. Originally written by Bram Stoker in 1897, Dracula gave the world one of literature's most compelling characters. Michael Mucci translates the tale and Ben Caldwell adds action-packed images-with meticulous attention paid to the finer details in each piece of art, from facial expressions to the historical accuracy of costuming, architecture, and heraldry. Young readers will love it.

It is an exclent book if you want to get to know the story, history of vlad the impaler, and the author. For some reason it was aimed at kids when it might get them to read the orignal that is sexual, sadistic, and above all else violent.IT IS AN AMAZING BOOK!

It's very nice to see this story in a publication appropriate for a younger mind. There is blood, but it's not done to a realistic degree and all the violence except for the final slaying of Dracula is done "off stage". The final slaying itself is rather quick with limited blood. If you're a collector don't pass this one up, it's very unique. Not a dark and gloomy book, plus good as a gift.

They removed all the endless, boring scenery descriptions without changing the dialog and the illustrations are fantastic. I really loved it and if you think classics are boring then this is a great alternative.

The graphic novel version of the book that started our fascination with vampires--Bram Stoker's Dracula, originally publishd in 1897. The classic novel is absolutely worth reading in its entirety, but it's not an easy read. Michael Mucci's graphic version captures the thrills and chills of the original while making this classic accessible to readers of all ages. The illustrations are gorgeous and detailed.

I think this is a great way to get young readers to experience the classics. While a lot of the story is cut out to make it fit into one graphic novel it still has enough there to grab onto. The idea to make classics into graphic novels is ingenious as it will surely draw people in and it seems that then they will be more likely to read the original format of the book. It¿s done that to me, it also makes me want to watch the movie version of the book again as well. I like the artwork better in this graphic novel than in many others I¿ve seen aimed at the younger crowd. I didn¿t have any problem following along or remember who was who as each character was drawn distinctly different.
