Overview

For forty years Frank Glaser trekked across wilderness Alaska on Foot, by wolf-dog team, and eventually by airplane. In his career he was a market hunter, trapper, roadhouse owner, professional dog team musher, and a federal predator agent. He was a legend in his own time, respected and admired for his sill as a woodsman and hunter by fellow sourdoughs and by his many Eskimo friends.

If you think you are tough, this guy will make you look in the mirror and realize you are a whimp!

This was a quite entertaining book. The way it was set up was interesting. The author instead of documenting Frank Glaser's life in chronological order, he did it by revelant sections. This threw off the sense of age you might get from a normal biography. Some of the stories that were told were amazing. Glaser was one tough old dude. The book also gives a very real image of what Alaska was like in its time as a territory. It also dispells some stories about wildlife, and explains many other things about Alaska's big game. I would recommend this book to any avid reader.
