How can they have a future when their past is based on a lie?

The perfect preacher's daughter, Verity Fairchild, has something that only she and God know about and she wants to keep it that way. Her mistake was easy to keep secret when she was out of town, but now that she's come back to Hope Parish for the summer, she comes face-to-face with the guy responsible for it all. Boone Outlaw nearly ruined everything for her and despite the fact that he's now working at her father's church, she's determined to stay as far away from him as possible.

Boone Outlaw doesn't understand Verity's anger towards him. He barely knows her. In high school she was Holy Mary Verity and she was off limits - except in his dreams where Verity seems way too real. Most of the time he was wasted in high school, not the type of boy Verity would ever look at twice, but he can't shake the feeling that something might have happened between them. He's going to break his own rules to get the answers he needs straight from Verity.

What will Verity do when she finds something in Boone that she never knew existed and her perfect mistake is the only thing that could stand between them and their happiness?

Will she sacrifice Boone to keep her secret?

OMG! I love Boone, in fact I love all the Outlaw siblings, and I was so excited to read Boone's story. It was obvious from the first book that something must have happened for Verity to be so angry with him and I was intrigued to find out what. And, boy, was I surprised when the real secrets of this story unraveled. I had kinda guessed about the whole graduation party situation, but everything that transpired after was a total shocker. It seems like Hope Parish is filled with a bunch of nutcases who are just waiting to cause chaos, and it was no different in this book. I was on the edge of my seat with excitement and fear but I'm glad things didn't end in tragedy. Secrets and lies abound in this fantastic sequel to A Perfect Mess. Another rollercoaster ride of emotional ups and downs with plenty of passion. I don't care what the rest of Hope Parish says, I am hooked on the Outlaws and cannot wait for more.

I thought Perfect Mess was a great read but A Perfect Mistake just blew it all out of the water. I love Verity and Boone story. There was so much that could have been different if they would have talked to each other. Emotions run high in this book. Your going to love the Boone Swoon!!! You want to pull them together and make them talk it all out so they can get on with their life. They take you on a wild ride. Looking forward to Brax's story.

Holy Smoking Cow! I was intrigued when I read about this series, and once I started reading the books? Yep, I was hooked! In A Perfect Mess, we get little snippets of what is going to happen in A Perfect Mess, but this book just lays it all out there.  Verity is the perfect girl. The ministers daughter and totally untouchable.  But there has always been sparks between Verity and Boone, and then something happened between them last summer. Verity has been gone for a year, and when she gets back to town, the last person she wants to be around it Boone.  Too bad he has other plans. In this book, we get such a small town feel.  The boys have to constantly stand up for themselves. Luckily they are not afraid of a good fight. And the tension and everything else between Verity and Boone is sizzling HOT! This was a great story about second chances and of course I love that romance with the bad boy.

A Perfect Mistake by Zoe Dawson is the second book in the A Perfect Secret series. Verity Fairchild, also known as Holy Mary Verity, is the preacher's daughter and she wants to be perfect but she has secrets. secrets she desperately does not want her father to discover. Verity returns home to finally stand up to her parents and become a stronger person. However, she runs into Boone Outlaw, one of the delicious triplet bad-boys in town and things get a little off plan for her from there. Boone Outlaw has always known that Holy Mary Verity Fairchild has been off-limits, especially from someone like himself, but that hasn't stopped him from being drawn to her. Verity has always acted like she hates him even though he's never done anything to her (that he remembers). A small town with secrets to be kept hidden and secret desires that refuse to stay down. Yet another awesome tale from this author. Now? the wait for book three...A Perfect Dilemma

Hot, Sexy, and just Friggin Sensational!  This story is a lot spicier than A Perfect Mess.  I was fanning myself especially during the sit-ups scene.  Hot Damn!  It’s 12:30 am and I have to be at work in a few hours if that tells you anything.  I could not put it down.  I had to see what was going to happen with Verity and Boone.  Of course they were going to live happily ever after, but it is the -how do they get there- that keeps me reading. Zoe did an amazing job with character development in this story.  She takes a girl that looks perfect on the outside “The Preachers Daughter” and shows us that you can’t judge a book by its cover.  Verity has a lot of demons that she is hanging on to and has to learn to confess her sins and share that burden even if it means that Boone will walk away from her.  Her parent’s approval of her is on the line. Boone is an Outlaw and people judge the Outlaw Brothers based on their father’s actions.  The town judges those boys without looking at what is on the inside.  Boone has straightened up his act and is a caring person.  He is volunteering his time and money to fix up the church.  Why cant they see that? When Verity realizes that she wrongly judged Boone her heart breaks.  She was no better than anyone else in the town.  As she gets to know him she falls head over heels and is so afraid that her secret will ruin everything they have built. This book kept me on my toes and turning page after page to see what was going to happen next.  If you like romantic suspense with some scorching hot sex scenes that will wake up your girlie parts then you will love A Perfect Mistake.

4.75 stars rounded up because of that one scene where I couldn't stop laughing. ver·i·ty noun \¿ver-¿-t¿\ : something that is regarded as true Trying to live up to her parents and a whole town's expectations, Verity Fairchild's life has not been easy, especially for the past year. When she finally returns home to take charge of her life and stand up to her parents she had not planned on ever running into Boone Outlaw. Fate had other plans though and she finds herself in his presence most of the summer. Boone has always had a crush on Verity, but he knows that with his reputation and his past he is no match for her perfection. That doesn't lessen his attraction to her in the least though. So when Verity's walls start to crumble and her true self comes through he can't help but fall even more for her. This was such an awesome story! Once again, Zoe Dawson delivers an amazing story, but this time around the emotions are even more intense, the secrets are more personal and the humor is laughing-out-loud great! I loved it. From the moment Boone comes into the story I fell in love with him. He had such a sweet, vulnerable side to him with a great sense of humor. He also had a great deal of regret carried with a dose of confusion over the actions that made Verity dismiss him on sight. Watching him struggle with that endeared him to me even more. Verity was okay. There were moments when I wanted to trample her and shake some sense into her, but other moments when I admire her strength and her giving nature. She wasn't a bad person, she just made bad decisions, which made her feel 'real' to me. I loved the way the author brought Verity and Boone together. Their banter was entertaining and their interactions revealing of their emotions and their troubles. I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing as their connection settled and grew as the story progressed. Although there were some heavy, emotional moments the author managed to squeeze in there enough light and fun moments. This in turn brought the lighter, softer side of the characters, which I ultimately loved. I think that it was after reading that one epic scene that was both funny and sweet and packed full of revelations that I really settled into this story and became emotionally invested in Verity and Boone's story. Needless to say that their chemistry was great, but for me the tender moments were the best. I loved how each character brought their emotions to the surface and made themselves vulnerable to the other. Although A Perfect Mistake is the second book in A Perfect Secret series, it can be read as a stand alone too. Some characters from the previous book make an appearance in this story but its main focus is the development of Boone and Verity as individuals and as a couple.

A Perfect Mistake by Zoe Dawson A Perfect Secret Series Book 2 Verity Fairchild was always trying to be the perfect preacher's daughter. Problem is that no one can be perfect. After a very imperfect series of events that started at a party after her high school graduation, her life will never be the same. One summer back home to tell her parents a partial truth leads Verity down a whole new path. Boone Outlaw is one of the unholy trinity. Triplets that have rocked their town just by being related to the Outlaws who came before them and added badness to the name. When these three guys were side by side, no girl was safe from swooning. And the only girl Boone ever wanted was off limits. Holy Mary Verity Fairchild, the preacher’s daughter. Didn't stop this bad boy from wanting her though. When Verity finds out that everything she thought about Boone might not be true, she finds it tough to keep the hatred she's had for him the past year. She also has secrets nestled deep inside. Secrets she would never want her daddy to find out. Will another Outlaw get locked into the bonds of love? Be sure to know the whole story by reading the first book, A Perfect Mess where Booker Outlaw meets his match. The third book will be for Braxton Outlaw; A Perfect Dilemma, he's one Outlaw that will do his best to dodge the noose. **Sexual content and language
