About the Author

New York Times bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson’s love affair with cowboys started with the Lone Ranger, continued through Maverick, and took a turn south of the border with Zorro. She views cowboys as the Western version of knights in shining armor, rugged men who value honor, honesty and hard work. Fortunately for her, she lives in the Arizona desert, where broad-shouldered, lean-hipped cowboys abound. Blessed with such an abundance of inspiration, she only hopes that she can do them justice.

A Secret Identity in a Small Town? Welcome back to Eagle's Nest! Aaron Donahue has just moved to the area, encouraged by his Air Force buddies Ryker and Badger. In the air, he went by Raven, and it's just the moniker he needs when it comes to wooing Caitlin Dempsey. Trouble is, Caitlin's no-good-ex also had the name Aaron Donahue, and she just can't get over the negative reaction she has to the name. Leave it to Badger to concoct a scheme that has Aaron playing dual identities: Raven, the wounded vet and hero on the mend so he can attend his friend's wedding; and Aaron, the suspiciously absent pilot who's letting Raven crash at his house. There's no way he can pull this off for very long in a town as small as Eagle's Nest, where everyone knows everything, but will a few days be enough to win Caitlin's heart? And will she forgive him when it all goes sideways? One of the things I loved about this book was how very aware Aaron is, the whole time, that this plan could go haywire. And inevitably, dealing with the truth, when it comes out, has a ton of consequences. But rather than have the explosive reveal toward the end of the book. Thompson puts it right in the middle, making it part of the journey rather than the climax. It works beautifully, and reflects that the whole process of building a relationship, of learning to trust, isn't something that happens instantly, and isn't something that can just be decided and fixed. The novel allows Caitlin time to deal with all of the issues the relationship lands on her in a believable way—especially once the Whine and Cheese Club gets involved. Those ladies do not disappoint, and it's always awesome to see them use their powers for good. Thompson's trademark steamy romance scenes are definitely present here, but the emotional arc of the story is really the reason to stick around. Many of the favorite series characters are here, but the story stands well on its own, and will send readers new to the series back to check out Badger's first misadventure in Eagle's Nest. We can only hope Badger has more friends he can get into trouble with a crazy scheme as the series moves forward! I received an advance copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...or would it? Eagles Nest photographer, Caitlin, was burned badly by Aaron Donahue. So when Aaron Donahue, pilot friend of Badger and Ryker, comes to town, she wants nothing to do with him. Trouble is, he isn't the SAME Aaron Donahue! For Caitlin, it might as well be the same man because she just can't get past that name. Badger is getting ready for his own wedding, but wants to help out his buddy so comes up with a plan to allow Caitlin to see how good it could be between her and Aaron. It'll be up to the Whine and Cheese Club ladies to save the day! This book is part of the McGavin Brothers series and will be best enjoyed by fans of the series. The highlight of the book is Badger and Hayley's wedding. Filled with line dancing, cowboys, and bagpipes, this wedding will not soon be forgotten! NOTE: I was given a free copy of this fabulous author's book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I've read all of Vicki Lewis Thompson's books, and this one is my favorite so far. Aaron is swoon-worthy. He's handsome, loyal, faithful, sweet, romantic, sexy, and an all-around great guy. Caitlin is sweet, but she has a hard time with Aaron's name because it's the same as her cheating ex, so Aaron has to come up with a way to convince her to give him a chance. I started reading this book at about 11:00 P.M., figuring I'd start it, then finish it the next day but I couldn't stop reading it. I didn't finish the book until 3:00 A.M. It was worth losing sleep over! I recommend this book! I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Not dating someone with the ex’s exact full name? Really? Well, maybe she has a point. Aaron is desperate to get Caitlin know HIM. His ex-military friend, Badger, has an idea. Aaron is going to use his military call sign and use a disguise. He’ll meet her in dim light. I can’t see anything going wrong with this plan. Can you? I enjoyed the ‘get to know you’ speed of this story.

Aaron is a very determined cowboy/pilot, love his never give-up spirit. Badger is a great friend and is just as determined and a supportive "partner in crime." Their secret is risky and his last ditch effort to get to spend some time with the woman I think he fell in love with at first sight. Their story is sweet & steamy aided along by the upcoming weddings so love is in the air. She is stubborn and just as determined not to be dupped by another Aaron. Only the strong survive, Aaron is patient and he really is a great catch. Love this Eagles Nest series, full of delectable, hard-working, humble cowboys who have tunnel vision when its comes down to the love of their lives. Always love Kendra & the girls who always boldly add a little humor, sensibility, solution and support. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.

What do you do when you are attracted to a strong willed woman but have the bad luck of having the same name as her cheating ex? Get your buddy Badger to help, even though your sub-conscious tells you this has mission failure written all over it. But if your Aaron Donahue (we’ll just whisper his name) an Air Force decorated vet, you will persist. A cute , sweet, romance filled with a little heartbreak, funny and tearful moments, and a chance to see how some of the characters from previous stories are doing. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Cute Read. Aaron Donahue’s friend Badger comes up with a scheme to allow him to spend quality time with the girl of his dreams. Only problem? She doesn’t know his real name. When she finds out she is hurt, furious and humiliated - not good odds for furthering a relationship! Loved reading a further story about the McGavin’s and their friends. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
