I was looking for an accurate reproduction of A Christmas Carol as it was originally published in the 1800s and received this book for Christmas. I could immediately tell it was a ripoff. The cover is cheaply made and the pages are made of what looks like laminated printer paper. Additionally, the illustrations are all over the place in quality - some are in color, some are black and white, and some are completely unintelligible. There's a reason this book isn't available in stores - anyone who picked it up in person could see how poorly made it is. Very disappointed that this book is being sold at all.

Barns and Noble should be ashamed of themselves. If I could give it negative stars I would. It looks like a photocopy on a copy machine. Brand new book and it doesn't even close. It isn't worth 1.99 let alone 12.99. I am unable to give this as a gift as it looks and is cheap. I would be embarrassed to even wrap such an item. Shame on YOU Barnes and Noble!

This book is cheaply made. The gold detail on the cover is just printed onto the red and is a yellow/green color. The original drawings are pixelated and hard to make out. The layout and print for the rest of the book is poor and looks like a word document simply printed out versus a well laid-out professional book.

Ordered this book twice. The book arrived packaged well both times, but damaged. The first one's spine was dented as were all corners of the cover. The second copy was received but the gold-yellow lettering was discolored in many places. Decided keep the second, because I already lost shipping price on the first. I would not recommend ever paying shipping with B&N due to their no refund of shipping cost. Highly unlikely that I would ever order an item for delivery again, as this is the third item I have lost shipping cost when the item received is damaged.

Beautifully, hard cover edition of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a favorite by so many. Original text with original drawings from the Mr. Dickens' original edition. Good price. Highly recommend to add to your library.
