"I love every one of Nick Pirog's books, but if I had to choose one series to take with me to that desert island in the middle of nowhere, this would be it ... and I might just choose these books over flint on the necessities list." --Amazon Customer

I don't usually read short novels but since this was a free one, I read it in one sitting. It was a real page turner with a good ending. Will try more books written by this author.

This book is one of the best short stories Ive read on the Nook, and it was free! I will definitely be looking this author up. Highly recommend this mystery which was also funny and a page turner.

Yes, I like the book. Meow. OK. I'll write a review. Meow. Well, the readers will understand this when they get the book. This was a fun read. It had more twists to the plot in 82 pages than some authors can manage in 800 pages. And the reader can keep up because they flow so well. Still keeps you guessing! Meow. Oh yeah, great characters, too!

Extremely far-fetched, but incredibly well done. Entertaining, fast paced story draws the reader in and keeps you hooked. Unbelievavle storyline, but really, it's fiction,so just enjoy the ride.

This is a great little read. Didn't take long at all because it's very entertaining. I enjoyed the story line and loved the on going conversation with Lassie. Hope to read more of this author's work.

Cute book. Quick read. Found the connor sullivan president thing to be annoying because of how unreasonable it all sounded but hey what can you expect from such an ameture writer who writes "books" under 100 pages. And come on you mention obama but say this fake sullivan person is the 44th president? Be a little more careful with yourr political refrences even i picked up on that.

Good little story, a short murder mystery quite plausible in today's worle. Love his dialogue with the feline Lassie, lots of nice humor, you can even read it to your mother, without offending anyone !

I'm disappointed because I was expecting a mystery, but it's got erotic parts. I really don't want to hear how long the main character masterbated. I don't think that has a place in a normal book. That's as far as I read. And really? This whole premise of him being able to read or even talk having been given one waking hour a day is ridiculous!

Interesting, though i thought it was rather stupid and INNAPROPRIATE. Really? The president killing someone.? I was extremely dissapointed in this book and i would never read this again. Check out my review of Crookedstars Promise which is a very good book. Skyheart is out.

For a short story, this had a good amount of action in it. Liked the humor as well. Well done.

Excellent short read! A great book if you're going to spend part of the day sitting around. It didn't take long to finish but kept you turning the pages looking for the answers. Good characters, well written, and a good plot line. Very impressive for a short novel! definitely recommended!

I truly enjoyed this. Great way to frame a story around the main character and his medical condition. Loved the dialogue between him and Lassie.
