This third book in the "Left Behind" series is an awesome read! If you've read the first 2, you've definitely got to read them all. And if you've seen the 3rd movie, please be aware that movie did not follow the book/s at all! This book continued where the last one left off and made me so excited for Jesus' return, making me want to dig deeper into my bible. The plot is good, the good characters are likeable, the evil characters hate-able (Nicolae is so much more creepy in this book than in any of the movies!), and it stays as true to God's word as possible... if you're a pre-millenial rapture kinda believer. Even if you don't know where you stand on that issue, this book is still a must read. It's not only good entertainment but is also very thought-provoking whether you believe this it the way it will all happen in the end or not. Any book in this series is a great gift for a non-believer, too. The reading level is pretty low, I'd say, which is why I give it 4 stars. However, the low reading level can definitely be a good thing considering that people who don't often read can be drawn into this story and become hooked. My mom read this book and she never reads! In that case, I was glad for the writing style.

Perhaps I expected too much from this novel after reading the first two in the series, but I was very disappointed. I thought we would see a huge battle between Nicolae, Buck and Rayford, but that never took place. A great deal of the book seemed to just go over what happened in the first two books. This should have been done in a prologue, so that people who read the first two novels didn't have to read the same things over again. I did like the bus chase with Buck and Tsion. That was really the only thing that saved this particular novel in the series from being a complete bore.

In the third book of the Left Behind series, Nicolae Carpathia, the Antichrist uses his power over the Global Community, media, leaders of religion and finance. Pilot Rayford Steele and the rest of the Tribulation Force know that Nicolae is a deceitful dictator, that is out to capture the world. He must be stopped! This fictional account of the book of Revelation has a lot of action and is entertaining. A few places are a bit slow, but overall interesting.

Nicolae summarizes previous entries at several points throughout and once those are put aside it offers some great action pieces and adds little more. The narrative between the central characters rarely propels the actual plot in the Left Behind series, for the most it reinforces the core message of the series, belief. What sets this third entry apart from the others is a few set pieces which would be at place in Hollywood. They up the ante somewhat, although rarely offer any actual surprises. This is a by the numbers novel/series and a great cliffhanger ensures readers will return for the next instalment.

All of the Left Behind books are provacative and page turning. I read them all at least once a year.

This is the third book in the Left Behind Series. And as I mentioned in the title, this is the best one yet. Though I should have rated it 3 stars, I couldn't. It deserves only three because the plot is not plausible and they do not explain the scriptures well. Just quote them. But then, I could not put the book down. That is why I gave it a four. I just had to read until I finished it. Two other things bothered me about the book. First I found in the book was the repetition of material from the previous books. Where they trying to bring you up to date without having to read the first two books.... or just trying to fill up enough pages to have a book. Second, I felt as if I was watching a Land Rover commercial. This book covers the time of the Seven Seals. We actually watch the characters live through six of the seals, and the book ends with the silence of the seventh. We once again focus on two of the tribulation characters again, Buck and Rayford. Rayford mainly deals with his dilemma about actually working for the Anti-Christ as his pilot. After all, not only is he Born Again now, he is part of the Tribulation Force. But something happens that places him in the position to hear some of the inner planning's of the Anti-Christ, so he stays. The action packed part of the book is with Buck. Though he works for the Anti-Christ as well. He still writes cover stories exposing the Anti-Christ to those who will pay attention, in an "objective" way. And is instrumental in helping a famous Jewish Scholar, who the Anti-Christ wants dead, out of Israel. And it is this exciting exodus that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The first two books of this series did a wonderful job about really integrating Christian faith into a fiction novel without being overwhelming,  preachy or  forgetting about great  character development and what seemed like honest reactions to the beginning of the end times. Nicolae fails to keep up with that  and is sorely disappointing, enough to lose a reader to quit the series well ahead of the end.  It simply does not grab you and falls short of how well written the first two were. The characters suddenly seem very hollow and strange  even  though you've followed them for about two years now.  Disappointing.

Nicolae shows how evil can be very compelling to those who do not understand that the people involved are really evil. The good people in the story have to hide from the evil ones to do the Lord's work, trying to save as many souls as they can before Jesus comes back in 7 years after the Anti-Christ signs a peace treaty with Israel. This is the third book of the series that tells the story about the 'End Times' that the Bible tells about in Revelations. To me it helps you to understand what is going to happen during that time. I think it is a great series and highly recommend it.

Book number three in the Left Behind series. Nicolae Carpathia has declared himself the Grand Potentate of essentially the entire world, whom he has dubbed the Global Community. Rayford is still employed as a pilot by GC and as such has access to important information for the Tribulation Force. We meet some new characters (Mac, Ken Ritz, Amanda) and Hattie returns.... Where book number 2 was my transition book, Nicolae is full of action. War and bombings everywhere, a major worldwide earthquake occurs (which kills about 1/4 of the world's population), our main Trib Force members are scattered all over the world and major chaos ensues. I resisted reading this series for the longest time and when I finally got started, had trouble stopping. However, I was ultimately glad I waited - because by then I wasn't forced to stop until the "next" book came out to keep going! :)

The third book in the best-selling Left Behind series starts off energized with a meeting of Nicaolae Carpathia and leading character Rayford Steele. Explosions rock the world that is becoming more desolate by the hour. The now newly formed Tribulation Force gains momentum and members right in the stead of Carpathia's rising empire. Other Trib members, an Israeli Tsion Ben-Judah, and Buck Williams, work to instruct and unify the members, and watch as another seal is broken under the wrath of God. This was a book I reviewed for Tyndale House Publishers.

"Nicolae" is the third is the series of books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins chronicling the events that take place in the world during the end times. The books follow several main characters as they fight for their lives and for their faith as the world makes its way to the last days. In this book, the Tribulation Force that was brought together in the previous book continues to fight the evil that is coming to the world. Nicolae Carpathia is now potentate of the Global Community. He publicly is seen as a charming and benevolent leader. But there are a few who know his true identity and how ruthless he can be. The Tribulation Force realizes that catastrophe in the form of an earthquake is in the world's future, and they continue their fight for survival and for the cause of Christ. This series of novels is a fictionalized account of the events of the end times. I enjoyed the whole series. This novel shows the gradual process of how the fictional Global Community is coming together under its leader, Nicolae. It was chilling to see how easily the world at large could be deceived by just one person and his contingency. While this book is geared towards Christians, there is enough action and depth to it that should appeal to all.

Nicolae, the third book in the Left Behind series is totally epic! Whats not to like? There's great characters, lots of action and you can learn a lot of stuff about the end times. You have got to read this book!

Nicolae, book three in the Left Behind Series, was especially exciting to re-read. Bombs are dropping where Chloe and Buck live in Chicago. Rayford is flying Nicolae Carpathia around to New Babylon, Iraq, and other exotic places, while spying on the man he's convinced will soon be revealed as the Antichrist. The story expands to include Ken Ritz, Mac McCullum, and Amanda White, and returns to a familiar character, Hattie Durham, to give her another shot at redemption. In Israel, biblical scholar Tsion Ben-Judah is hiding out from the men who murdered his family and wish to silence him. Buck attempts a daring rescue of Tsion, and they both become wanted men. Even natural disasters come into play. It's non-stop action from start to cliff-hanger finish. This episode of the series illustrated something that amazes me about Bible prophecy. The story shows how so many will experience cataclysmic events, see all the norms of life change before their eyes, understand that in their humanness they can do nothing to help themselves, and yet turn to a human man to save them. While all the time God will continue to reach out to them through supernatural means and through the lives of Tribulation saints. I believe that whatever the Bible says will happen in the future is just as settled as what has already happened in the past. So the first time I read this series, I remember being so thankful that two authors, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, had taken literally the Scripture I've built my life upon and crafted a story from it. I felt that same thanks as I re-read each book. While other speculative fiction is fantasy, I know that the concept behind these books is based on truth. This gives each exciting installment eternal consequence.

Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins in their book "Nicolae" Book Three in the Left Behind series published by Tyndale House Publishers gives us the rise of the antichrist.takes us to the events of Chapter 9, verses 1-12 in Revelation, the last book of The Bible. "Nicolae" depicts the events in the Bible book of Revelation Chapter 6, verses 12-14, where the sixth seal is opened, "I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood-red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place." It is time for the rise of the antichrist. Now all antichrist means is Opposed (anti) to the Messiah (Christ)It is a title and in this book it belongs to Nicolae Carpathia. Carpathia continues to consolidate his power, unifying political states ("Global Community"), media ("Global Community Network," "Global Weekly"), and religions ("Enigma Babylon One World Faith") under a Nicolae-appointed supreme pontiff. Nicolae himself is grand potentate of the global community. The Tribulation Force, Captain Rayford Steele, his daughter, Chloe and Buck Williams not only must deal with the knowledge of who Carpathia is and spread the truth about him but they also must deal with the death and destruction that the opening of the sixth seal brings. Dr. LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins provide a fictional background for the real events that the final book of The Bible, Revelation, speak about: the end times. The Biblical accuracy in"Nicolae" is flawless and the story is a page turning thriller. There are wonderful themes: salvation, faith in what you cannot see and who is in charge despite appearances to the contrary. I do not recommend starting this book late at night because it will cost you sleep as you will not want to put it down. Mr. Jenkins is an excellent writer and knows how to twist your nerve endings as he tightens the suspense. I am looking forward to book four in this series. This book in the Left Behind series is called Nicolae but Nicolae is harldy even in this book. Again, this entry in the series focuses almost entirely on the private lives of Rayford, Buck and friends. It further details the trials that they go through after the rapture. These books are not written to convince people of one Rapture doctrine or another. Rather, they have the message of God's love for his people thoughout. The book follows Rayford Steele and Buck Williams as they work for Nicolae Carpathia, whom they realize to be the Antichrist. The story has some major conflicts, and some serious tension, while still maintaining the facts and message of Revelations. The action and suspense of this third book are mesmerizing as well as entertaining. The "evil one" is portrayed magnificently. The members of the Tribulation Force become truly identifiable as real people.I enjoyed this book because it is a fascinating look at what COULD happen at the end of time. How the "Rapture" will effect the global economy, politics, and families. How easily people can be deceived and killed with kindness. It makes the reader reflect on what he or she would do in that situation. It was a very easy read, and very entertaining. I will absolutely be reading the next in the series.

All seems to be coming into place as Potentate Carpathia begins ruling with an iron fist. The tribulation force joins together to try to win souls while Buck risks his life for a fellow believer. The wailing wall becomes a place of controversy, curiosity and media intervention as two individuals create quite a stir in those left behind while attracting the attention of Carpathia. Another extremely hard to put down novel, the 3rd in the series. If you have not started reading this series as of yet drop the book you are reading and dive in, I highly recommend them.
