While some of strands of this complicated narrative continue to remain somewhat unclear by the novel¿s end, Loosing my Espanish is well worth taking ones time and luxuriating in. Readers should grab a mojito, put on some Celia Cruz and let the novel¿s languages wash over them. H. G. Carrillo is performing a very complicated dance with narrative and time, ¿loose-limbed and free-hipped, dizzying myself and my partners, real or imaginary.¿ Fans of risk-taking fiction would do well to take his hand and partner him as he glides across the floor.
